As space is limited in our home because several rooms and a lounge are allocated for guests, my home altar is in our bedroom. This isn't the ideal position, I don't think, but it is the best available for me to dispay my bells and buddha.

And in the guest lounge we have a space where we have flowers and a small statuette - this is my public altar.

This arrangement seems to work quite well

[...] Create an altar. An altar is a place set aside in your home or office dedicated to receiving guidance and giving thanks. An altar does not have to be religious, nor need it be a shrine. It can simply be a collection of objects that help you focus your attention in a special way. For more ideas, see my post “How To Create a Home Altar“. [...]

Thank you Margot!

I think we all naturally make altars all the time anyway (such as when we arrange the ojects on the bookshelf or fireplace mantle just so). The only thing different is doing it with conscious intent. I wish you great joy in making your altar.

blessings,
Deborah

This was a BEAUTIFUL presentation! I've been thinking about making a home altar for some time, and this will enhance my efforts by about three hundred percent! Thank you.
