Phyllis Krystal has a wonderful book 'Cutting the Ties that Bind'. It describes a method of meditation in which you energetically separate yourself from those people who have some sort of a "hold" on you. It allows you to deal with them from a centered place rather than from a place with baggage.
Not returning borrowed items and resentment of the non-returned items seems to me like a situation that could hold a quite an emotional charge that would underly all interactions. This kind of chronic irritant cannot be good for any relationship. So, when there is trouble in the areas of relationships, family or career looking at those areas of the bagua map with this kind of clutter clearing in mind may unearth some interesting findings.

Cheers, Brenda
