From my Medicine Wheel perspective, the Summer Solstice is one of the cross winds of the Medicine Wheel, June 21. The cross winds can be uncomfortable like growing pains. As we begin our turn toward the South, the Summer Solstice helps us to prepare for the rapid growth in the warmth of the summer. This part of the Medicine Wheel also represents the move from older adolescence to young adulthood. Young adulthood is where we are just beginning to expand our life experiences.
