Being of Service: Becoming an IA Practitioner

being-of-service-becoming-an-ia-practitioner

Do you love to assist others in fulfilling their dreams?  Do you enjoy discovering how our environments and energy influence our daily life, our productivity and our success?   Then, perhaps you have considered becoming a Feng Shui and Space Clearing consultant!

Interior Alignment™ practitioners work to create harmonious, healthy environments that support the goals and deepest intentions of our clients.  Using a rich blend of techniques gathered from around the world, we balance the energy of homes, offices, gardens and plots of land.

An Interior Alignment™  consultation can take many forms.  We may utilize Feng Shui and perform a Space Clearing ceremony.  We may do clutter clearing or work with color.  We may incorporate a Synchro-Alignment guided meditation or complete a Healthy Home assessment. Many times the consultation is done over a period of several sessions, beginning with an interview to assess the client’s intention for the home and their life. The IA Practitioner and client work together closely to make the best possible adjustments to the environment, generating spaces that not only feel good, but also nourish the intentions and goals that were identified.

As Interior Alignment™  Practitioners, we consider a consultation to be one of the highest and most honorable ways to be of service to others.

What does it take to become a Interior Alignment™  consultant, you might wonder.  Well, the first requirement is an open heart and a willingness to assist and empower others.  It takes awareness and observation.  And, it takes some curiosity about how our environments impact our health, vitality, creativity, relationships and productivity.

Beyond this, you simply need to complete the Interior Alignment™  training program with one of our skilled Master Teachers to become proficient in the Interior Alignment methods.

There are no prerequisites, other than a genuine desire to make a difference!

The Upside of Quieting the Mind: A Feng Shui Perspective

the-upside-of-quieting-the-mind-a-feng-shui-perspective

As a teacher and practitioner of Interior AlignmentTM, Interior Alignment Website I often use a technique called Synchro-Alignment with my clients. Synchro-Alignment is a guided meditation process that guides one to quiet the active mind and enter a deep state of relaxation. When the mind is quiet, such as the theta brain wave state, an individual has better access to deep inner knowing. The purpose of doing Synchro-Alignment with a client (which is uniquely associated with Interior AlignmentTM) is to become aware of what is best in a specific situation. Here’s an example of my own experience.

I had a colleague perform a Synchro-Alignment for me. The purpose was to meet the spirit of our home. In going through the process, I discovered the front entrance to our home was metaphorically hidden. I had to struggle to find an opening to get in, and once I did, the whole house was wide open.

I was very struck by this experience for a couple of reasons. One, the home we live in has a small and narrow foyer. Our guests have to enter in a single file until arriving in the living room. Then the space opens up. The other thing that struck me is that I had a tendency to be guarded. (And I still do in certain situations.)

The light bulb went off! If I had a tendency to be guarded, then of course I’d have a difficult time finding the metaphorical opening to our home. And, yes, I would be “attracted” to a home with a narrow entrance. The next step then became very obvious to me. It was critically important that I open up the foyer visually which I did with mirrors and lightening. And it was very important that I paid attention to my tendency to be guarded. As I have experienced, being guarded disconnects me in ways that I find unpleasant. And this awareness was a huge shift for me.

So, the point of sharing this story is to encourage you to find ways to enter the theta brain wave state and uncover the hidden gems in your unconscious. Entering this state can be achieved by listening to music designed for such a purpose like Tom Kenyon’s pieces. Tom Kenyon’s Music Entering this state can also be achieved by breathing very deeply with eyes closed. The information obtained in this way goes beyond the thinking mind which often blocks access to “real” issues. Give it a whirl and see what happens!

Synchro Alignment - the Best Way to Connect with Your Home

synchro-alignment-the-best-way-to-connect-with-your-home

Imagine, you are in your bed, all warm and comfortable. Your pillow feels so good. Your eye lids become heavy, your muscles are relaxed, you take a deep breath in and let it out slowly.  This moment just before sleep feels so good. Do you remember this experience of moments just before you fall asleep? The feeling of being so relaxed…

This between awake and relaxed state can be replicated in meditation. This physical place between awake and asleep we in Interior Alignment™ call the beginning steps to a Synchro Alignment. Synchro Alignment is a form of guided meditation.  Synchro Alignment is a unique process to Interior Alignment™ that synchronizes and aligns a person’s energy and intention with their home.

As Interior Alignment™ practitioners this is one of our best tools to assist clients to connect with themselves and to their home or business. Synchro Alignment is a process that relaxes the physical body and mental mind so that the creative part of a client can be more available.  This creative part is the Soul Self or the Higher Self. A Synchro Alignment can take as little as 15 minutes or as long as 45 minutes.

Practitioners of Interior Alignment™ are taught that they are facilitators assisting clients with feng shui and space clearing. Clients already know at a soul level what is for their best and highest good, even when it comes to what color to paint a room. As practitioners we facilitate this connection by using Synchro Alignment.

I wrote about Synchro Alignment in a previous blog article.  In that article, I shared that when I teach feng shui and space clearing workshops, I love to have the attendees experience a short Synchro Alignment.  I would like to share with you the topic I use for this purpose the most often, Finding Your Home Guardian.

Every home has a guardian.  Meeting your home guardian creates a special connection to your home or space. The Guardian can come in many different forms from an angel, a plant or to an animal. It is important to accept whatever form your Home Guardian comes in as it is unique to your home. Sometimes we “think” that we should have a Native American chief rather than a Victorian Angel. Your home’s unique vibration or unique personality is symbolized through the type of Home Guardian.

Once meeting the Home Guardian you can begin to forge a conscious relationship with your Home Guardian. For instance, my Home Guardian is an angel named Jedidiah. I ask Jed to help me with furniture placement, wall color and most times when I leave my home I ask Jed to take care and protect our home while I am away. Jed and my dog, Ginger, are the best protectors and caretakers of our home that we call La Vida Dulce (The Sweet Life). A Home Guardian may also assist you with healing your home. The most important element here is that you ask your Home Guardian for assistance. As in most cases, they can only assist you if they are asked to do so.

As a practitioner and teacher of Interior Alignment™ I find that Synchro Alignment empowers a client as well as a student practitioner. Synchro Alignment allows us to connect with our Higher Self. It also encourages us to connect with our creativity and imagination. It is no wonder why Synchro Alignment™ is such a powerful Interior Alignment™ tool.
