Space Clearing and Energy Fields

In order to really understand let us look first understand about space.

It has several meanings. It can refer to something physical which is personal to us. ‘Our’ space could be our area on the desk, or our own room. Then there is the non-physical meaning of space, when we say someone is ‘in our space’. This often means someone is physically too close to us.

In both cases we are talking about our energy fields. An energy field is a vibration. People often have difficulty with the concept of energy and vibrations because although most of us can’t see them, energy vibrations can be felt by most people, even those who believe they are not very sensitive to such things. We all have been somewhere where we felt wonderful, and we all have been in places where something felt off - in other words we picked up negative ‘vibes’. What is being picked up on is the ambient energy left over from people and events. This ambient energy is emotions.

Emotions

It is interesting that people can often tell what happened in a room before they got there. For example if you are visiting someone’s house where there has been an argument, many people can feel it, even if the hosts are acting normally. We pick up on good emotions as well. There are places that just feel good to be in. Most often I encounter them in places of nature. But people’s homes, offices, shops and restaurants also have good energy.

Why is it we pick up on energy vibrations in rooms?  It is because energy vibrations also run through seemingly solid objects and gives them a history. Antique furniture, for example, often have definite personalities and energy patterns imprinted in them. Just touching them can give off feelings of happiness, or sadness.

We know from the that happiness and joy is a higher energy field than one of sadness, grief, anger, loneliness -  that is, any energy pattern that feels negative. And with Space Clearing, we can change the energy imprint from a negative one, to a positive one.

What we do in is change the pattern through manipulating the space, so that any negative elements are removed. At the same time we are consciously putting back a different vibration.  Normally these are your intentions - all the good things you envision happening to you while you live there.

Another type of Space Clearing is to dedicate the space to the present owners’ wishes and dreams for their lives. Some Space-clearers call this a Blessing Ceremony and traditionally this was done when people move into a new home. Today we do this ceremony to help people consciously fills their homes and working places with tangible reminders of the joy and happiness they wish to honour in their lives.

The Bagua Map: Abundance

Bagua Map

I love working with the Abundance area because it holds a depth of meaning, far beyond material abundance. It is really about the law of attraction and I write about this in my e-course Dancing with Energy: 9 Steps to Manifesting your Soul’s Desires with Feng Shui.

The Law of Attraction
The law of attraction says that whatever you think about, you attract. If you are thinking about scarcity, lack, waste, need, neglect, exploitation or manipulation — you will attract more of it. How do you feel when you read those words? Did your energy fall? Now think about the words abundance, plenty, equality, fairness, respect, attention and consideration. These words raise energy.

Abundance is really about the choices you make.  Your choices reflect your essential values, discovering what is important and valuable for you and letting go of whatever does not represents those values.

So, working with the Abundance area, imagining and experiencing your inner wealth, you can ask yourself what is important and valuable to you in each of the bagua areas:

reputation     •       relationship     •     creativity     •     helpful people
career     •     self knowledge    •    family

This is all well and good, I hear you say, but what about material abundance? That’s what I am really interested in. Getting clear about your essential values will help you attract material abundance.  (If you say, I don’t think about scarcity …  oh wait, you just did, didn’t you?) Without clarity on what you really want, those sneaky self-sabotaging thoughts creep into our thoughts and vocabulary.

Stay tuned for the rest of this series on the bagua areas, and refresh your memory by reading the first post in this series The Bagua Map: Family Heritage.

~*~ When to Enhance the Abundance Area ~*~

  • when you are ready to embrace abundance on all levels
  • when you have experienced a set back in any area of life

~*~ Colours to Use ~*~
Traditionally the colours for the Abundance area are red, blue and purple.

~*~ Element Symbols ~*~
The Element symbol for the Abundance area is Wood. Wood element symbols are healthy plants, flowers, objects made of wood, columns and floral prints, stripes.

~*~ Life Symbols ~*~
Images and symbols that represent abundance are those that have a good flow of energy. Water, for example, is traditionally associated with wealth. Water can be a bowl of water - perhaps with some flowers floating on top, a tabletop fountain, aquarium, courtyard or patio fountain or pool, and of course property located on a lake, river or ocean.

But beyond this, if an object, symbol or colour feels good to you, it is an appropriate life symbol for abundance.

~*~ How to Use ~*~
Use any of the enhancements of colour, element symbols or life symbols in the Abundance area of your home.
